he Young Professionals of  Walton County held their Rise and Grind Breakfast at 
Amavida Coffee Shop in Miramar Beach. The mix and mingle event, which took 
place on July 12, was a way for attendees to meet with leaders from some of the area’s 
non-profi ts to learn about their initiatives and how they could be a part of a non-

profi t of their choosing. Participating nonprofi ts included South Walton Academy, Sinfonia Gulf 
Coast, Point Washington Medical Clinic, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Fore Her, 
SoWal Community Chaplain, H.E.A.R.T, Distinguished Young Women of Walton County, and 
Waves Ministry, Inc. 

Those in attendance got their professional, complimentary headshots taken by Epic Photo 

Co., and the winner of the door prize provided by Okaloosa Gas was Karen Brown of Spa98. 
Young Professionals of Walton County (YPWC) is affi liated with the Walton Area Chamber of 
Commerce and was formed to provide a venue for ambitious individuals to network and enhance 
their professional development skills and bridge social, geographic, political and economic 
boundaries across Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast.
