orthwest Florida Ballet staged its annual, free,
community performance, Ballet at Twilight,
at Grand Boulevard, in Sandestin on Saturday,
June 23. The beautiful, breezy weather made it

a perfect evening to be outside under the stars to watch such
talented performances. This popular, outdoor production
featured an evening of both new and established works
performed by NFB dancers and international guest artists with
a mixed repertoire of classic and modern works.

NFB’s Ballet at Twilight included excerpts from the

romantic ballet Giselle that premiered earlier this season
as well as a Pas de Deux from the new musical, BANJO.
The program also included the world premiere of a new
contemporary ballet A Tale of 9 Dancers, created by local

choreographer Lindsey Kelley Brewer. Atlanta Ballet dancers
Emily Carrico and Sergio Masero-Olarte performed with the
NFB Company for the first time dancing the Wedding Pas de
Deux from Act 3 of the ballet Don Quixote. The couple also
graced the stage to perform the contemporary Pas de Deux
Tintinnare. Former NFB dancer Jonathan Carter returned to
do the Cavalier’s variation from Act 2 of The Nutcracker.

The production’s finale was a ballet choreographed by NFB

Artistic Director/CEO Todd Eric Allen entitled Light Heavy
featuring NFB principals Ellie Edwards, Jonathan Carter,
Victoria Garofalo, and Keegan Lloyd. Students from NFB’s
summer workshop also performed in two featured pieces
choreographed by Lindsey Kelley Brewer.
