Welcome to April and warmer weather, longer

evenings, and fun in the sun that is just ramping up in the

Destin area.

Just before we exited March,

VIP Destin Magazine

entertained the winners of our readers choice awards, Best

in Destin, at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and

Spa with the 6th annual Black Tie Ball. It was a gathering

of local business owners who were chosen by our readers

to receive these coveted awards and it was a fantastic and

glamorous evening as we were honored to recognize the

winners for their hard work.

I look forward to this event each year as it gives us

at

VIP Destin Magazine the opportunity to show

local businesses how much our readers enjoy their

establishments and the services they provide. The

evening began with a walk down the red carpet followed

by a cocktail party with other winners. 150 awards were

handed out from the stage and the band kicked off

dancing as the grand finale. I extend congratulations to

the winners and thank you to our readers who took the time to vote.

In this issue you will see photos in tribute to the Best In Destin winners, many other recent, local

happenings, and some interesting editorial surrounding our feature, Real Estate and Homes, which

includes some People You Should Know. Learn about an exciting new art gallery, studio and gift

boutique, Velia Lala Designs, in Fort Walton and their incredible variety of selections starting with pre-

made Real Estate Gift baskets, Upscale Resort Wear, and adult art classes. Then

Come Home to Calm in

Destin Quarters as you learn about this beautiful Hogtown Bayou French colonial inspired home.

Thank you for supporting

VIP Destin Magazine and we look forward to seeing you at many of the

local events, whether for fun or for fundraising, that are upcoming this spring.
