he WSRE-TV Foundationand A Bodacious Family 
of Shops presented the Pirates, Pinot & Pearls 
30th Wine & Food Classic during the weekend of 
October 19-21. This annual fundraising weekend is 

a longtime favorite of local food lovers, and supports the mission 
of WSRE to positively impact communities through education, 
entertainment, and engagement. The Walkabout Tasting on Friday 
evening featured local chefs on the beachside lawn of the Hilton 
Pensacola Beach. Each guest was invited to enjoy a glass of wine 
and take a culinary journey from one restaurant’s booth to the 
next as participating chefs competed for votes and top honors. 
The weekend event also included a celebrity chef dinner and 
book signing with the famous Chef Sara Moulton. Participating 

chefs and restaurants for the tasting included Chef Brad Davis 
from H2O Hilton Pensacola Beach, Mike DeSorbo from Culinary 
Productions, Corey Ernes from Aragon Café, Jason Hughes from 
The Grand Marlin, Paulette Martin from Nouveau Pastries & 
Catering, Chrisoula Hulion from Chrisoula’s Cheesecake Shoppe 
and Café, Reed Moody from Cobalt, The Restaurant, John Smith 
from Hemingway’s Island Grill, Takara Smith from Skopelos at 
New World, Mike Tilton from Legends Café, Chris Tingle from 
McGuire’s Irish Pub, Eric Troup from Margaritaville, Josh Warner 
from The District: Seville Steak & Seafood, and Brian Kaderavek 
of Kingfisher.

Chef Sara attended each of the three events over the weekend, 

and enamored fans and fellow cooks alike.
