he Destin Charity Wine Auction
Foundation donated a record
$2.66 million to 14 different
children’s charities that cater

to young people on the Emerald Coast. The
amount was $360,000 more than last year. The
check presentation ceremony was held at the
Watercolor Lakehouse on August 23.

The DCWAF, which was named one of the

top 10 charity wine auctions in the country
by Wine Spectator magazine, had a full year
of fundraising that included a silent and
live auction, dinners with winemakers and
appearances by celebrity chefs.

The $2.66 million was divided up among the

14 local 501(c)(3) charities according to size and
need and an amount was also set aside for an
emergency fund that assists children’s charities
who have unexpected needs throughout the year.
